The route takes you through three historic villages in the Stratford-upon-Avon district, each with its own character and charm. Starting from Wilmcote, famous as the birthplace of Mary Arden (Shakespeare’s mother), the walk heads through undulating countryside to Aston Cantlow, where Shakespeare’s parents are believed to have married, before continuing to the picturesque village of Billesley with its historic manor house.
