Starting Point: Street parking anywhere near the church, Whitnash (SP 328 637)
Terrain: Field paths, tracks, Fosse Way crossing (very busy road), railway tunnel, road walking with verge only.
This is a varied circular walk from Whitnash through quiet Warwickshire countryside, with two challenging navigation points requiring careful attention. The farm navigation at Pounce Hill Farm is tricky with poor signage - we missed the gate turn and were then duped by a stile that led us astray into a field before we found our way back to the correct driveway route. The Fosse Way, a major Roman road, must be crossed twice with extreme care as it is very busy. The return section along Middle Road requires walking on the verge with no proper path. Despite these challenges, the walk offers pleasant Warwickshire countryside, passing through farmland and following field paths and tracks. A straightforward route topographically with minimal ascent, but requiring vigilance at the navigation points and road crossings.
