A delightful short circular on the Warwickshire border that packs a surprising amount of variety into its modest distance. The opening through the woods around Mill Mound and on to Valley Farm is quiet and pleasant, and the path north through the fields between Holywell Farm and Holywell House gives easy, open walking with fine views across the surrounding countryside. The six-path junction at SP 196 670 is the navigational crux of the walk — met twice and requiring care on both occasions — but the paths are generally clear and the directions straightforward once the correct route is identified. The northward loop via Narrow Lane and Sandle House Farm leads pleasantly to Lowsonford, a quiet canal hamlet well worth a few minutes of exploration at the bridge, before the return south via Foxcote Farm and Peacock Farm completes the circuit with a final crossing over Mill Mound. An enjoyable and undemanding walk in an underrated corner of the county.
