A fine and varied south Warwickshire circular from Bishops Itchington, combining field path walking, ancient woodland, a ridge with wide views and two of Warwickshire's named long-distance routes through some of the county's most characteristic countryside. The outward section via Piper's Hill Farm and the five stiles to Itchington Holt is peaceful and unhurried, the views opening gradually across the rolling Feldon farmland. The ridge section on the Centenary Way is the walk's finest stretch — elevated, open and with Chesterton Windmill visible on the northern skyline, one of the most distinctive buildings in the county. The return on the Harry Green Way through the fields and across the River Itchen brings the walk full circle back to the village whose name carries, encoded in two simple words, over a thousand years of local history.
