Terrain: Tarmac drives, Centenary Way, pasture fields, village roads, minimal mud - excellent winter walk.

💡 Tony's Notes

This is an excellent Warwickshire circular walk, particularly well-suited for winter walking when many routes become muddy. The route uses good tarmac drives through attractive farmland to Kingston Farm before joining the Centenary Way long-distance path. A walk through Harbury village provides interest, with a blue plaque commemorating WW1 casualties worth noting. The return via Whitegates Farm crosses firm pasture fields before arriving back at the attractive St Giles Church in Chesterton. With minimal ascent and mostly firm surfaces throughout, this is a relaxing walk through quiet south Warwickshire countryside that can be enjoyed in any season, though it particularly comes into its own during wetter months when field paths elsewhere become challenging.
