💡 Tony's Notes

This is a pleasant circular walk through gentle Cotswold countryside, combining sections of the Cotswold Link long-distance path with field paths and quiet lanes. The highlight is Compton Scorpion Manor, site of a Medieval deserted settlement - one of Warwickshire's lost villages that adds historical fascination to the route. The path requires careful attention at a couple of points, particularly the turning we missed at Longdon Road Farm through being deep in conversation - a reminder to check your route regularly even on straightforward walks! The hard-to-see footpath between houses also requires vigilance. A relaxing walk through attractive Cotswold and south Warwickshire countryside with minimal ascent and interesting historical features.
