This is an outstanding Peak District circular walk taking in Kinder Scout, the highest point in the Peak District, along with several other significant summits and historic sites. Starting from the popular village of Edale, the route climbs the historic Jacob's Ladder - site of the 1932 Mass Trespass that established the right to roam. The slabbed paths across Kinder Scout's notorious bogs make this challenging terrain much more accessible while still providing the wild moorland experience. Brown Knoll and the Rushup Edge ridge lead to Lord's Seat with its amazing views across the Dark Peaks. The climb to Mam Tor, an ancient hillfort, provides further excellent views before the final descent back to Edale. A classic walk combining Peak District history, dramatic moorland, ridge walking, and outstanding views across one of England's most distinctive landscapes.
